First of all, it was this primary motivation that proved powerful enough to make me want to introduce people to the healthy and therapeutic side of rats. It may seem surprising to say so, nevertheless it is the strict truth. Rats turn out to be real little therapists and they know how to channel what is wrong with a person to free them from these discomforts or injuries.

The rat establishes a deep connection with its mistress or its master, for my part I prefer to say its human, and it scans what is wrong to operate a cure. The rat has suffered so much stigma that still makes life hard for them even today in 2021, that the beauty of the animal must be at the rendezvous, the same for its behavior and its health which must be exemplary. since rats have a very bad reputation. One of my goals is to educate the general public about the differences between the domestic rat and the wild rat.

All the difference of the domestic rat lies in the fact that it is precisely not a wild rat. The domestic rat is genetically different. It has been domesticated for decades, which has profoundly transformed it. In exchange for your love, your attention and your good care, a rat from my rattery will give you his heart and his loyalty for life. The rats that are offered for adoption in my rattery are selected first for their good character and second for their beauty and third for their health.

Rats that have been treated well by humans will pass on their bond of trust in humans to their offspring, which is why you can expect to adopt raccoons that already trust humans if you opt for 2 or 3 raccoons. who were born in my rattery Chimera because not only do I socialize each raccoon from their first days of life but I surround their mother and father with love. By adopting from La ratterie Chimère, you are sure to adopt a baby rat (raccoon) who loves humans.

Livestock farm and pet store

This is the exact opposite of what happens on a breeding farm where mother rats transmit to their raccoons the fear of humans and with good reason since the rats are raised in inhumane conditions. It is therefore these raccoons that end up in pet stores. If you adopt a pet rat from a pet store, you find yourself bringing home a stressed animal that has been treated like a commodity, a commodity just to be sold for monetary profit. The care the rats receive on a breeding farm is insufficient and the living conditions are minimal, just enough to keep them alive long enough to be sold.

Selection in rat breeding

To meet the challenge of changing people’s mentality in the face of pet rats or fancy rats, I thought about what I needed to do in order to give these little angels the best chance to come and touch the heart of their human, or their adopter.

The first tip that jumped out at me is the aesthetic appearance of the rat. This first point represents the hook that makes anyone who is sensitive to the beauty of an animal fall in love. It may seem superficial to approach it like this, but that’s what always happens to humans. It has been proven that human babies who are beautiful attract more tenderness and interest than babies who have ordinary features. It’s a shame but that’s how it is. A rat that possesses beauty by its bluish-gray color, commonly referred to as blue rats for example, or a physical feature such as large elephant ears (a Dumbo rat in reference to Dumbo ‘s large ears the elephant who is the main character of the Disney children’s film), is more likely to be adopted than a red-eyed albino rat with standard ears.

Based on this observation, I therefore set myself the objective of breeding rats that meet beauty criteria that I consider important enough to weigh in the balance, this balance that will lean in the direction of adoption of two rats per adopter. Here, I insist on the number of two rats because never a rat should be adopted alone. I encourage anyone interested in adopting a rat as a pet to adopt a minimum of three rats or if not, at least two rats since rats are gregarious animals, in other words, they live in groups. The more individuals they are together, the happier they are.

rat breeder

<ins class="adsbygoogle" style="display: block;" data-ad-client="ca-pub-9979316144127292" data-ad-slot="2698962754" data-ad-format="auto" data-full-width-responsive="true"></ins>

The second point which seems essential to me for a person to fall under the spell of his 2 or 3 rats that he has just adopted within my rattery, is that it is imperative that his rats have a good character. and good health. A good character in the rat implies that he is automatically inclined to want to establish a good relationship with his human, he even feels the need for it. If the rat is looking for a relationship with the human, it is a safe bet that the new adopter will respond favorably to this search for a new relationship that is based on good healthy foundations, which necessarily implies good health. also in rats.
